AHB Weekend Schedule for 2025
Thursday August 7, 2025
For Early Arrivals-
No formal plan. Suggest that those looking for dinner on Thursday night meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 PM (suggested locations: Station Tap or Artillery Brewing both a 15 min walk or quick drive from the hotel)
Friday August 8, 2025
For Early Arrivals-
1:30pm Meet at hotel lobby to carpool to area retirement communities with Jeff Porter
Wesley Enhanced Living is confirmed for 2pm, Plush Mills is confirmed for 3pm.
PLEASE NOTE: On Friday afternoon there is another large event in the Grand Ballroom (ground floor). For the majority of the weekend, we’ll be upstairs (Mansion Level) as shown below. The “Mansion Level” is actually the “ground level” as you enter the property (big columns out front). Our main room is the Brandywine Room. On either side is the Chesapeake Room and Belmont Room. The Hotel is “down the hill” at the other end of the property. You can walk from the hotel through the Grand Lobby and then upstairs to the Mansion Level. Or you can walk outside to get to the Mansion Level.
Parking on Friday afternoon is going to be a bit challenging with the other event happening just as most of us are arriving. There will be a guard at the entrance of the property on Friday to direct our members to park in the lot in front of the property (Mansion building that has big columns out front....just to the left as you enter the property). Just tell the guard that you're with AHB. Parking for the other event will be "down the hill" near the hotel entrance and in back of the hotel. After the other event is over, you can move your car closer to the hotel entrance if you like.
1:30 PM Early arrivers will gather in the Hotel Lobby to sing for two nearby Retirement Communities. JeffP coordinating. Hawaiian Shirts would be nice, but not required. Typically worn with blue jeans, but I won't be picky. Both are about 15 minutes away. We will carpool to the following two locations:
2:00 PM Performance at Wesley Enhanced Living, 100 Halcyon Drive, Media, PA
3:00 PM Performance at Plush Mills, 501 Plush Mill Rd, Wallingford, PA
4:00 PM Checkers gather in Belmont Room. They qualify to get their “Qualification” cards signed.
4:30 PM AHB Registration opens in the Mansion Level Brandywine Ballroom. Attendees register, ensure a current portrait picture and mobile phone numbers are in the Electronic Dance Card database. Attendees begin getting “Riser Pass Qualification” cards signed off. Checkers, using our traditional “Checker hats” will be evaluating all individuals' preparedness and signing off cards. Until Friday at 6:00 PM there will be a group of checkers in the Belmont Room to help expedite the process.
6:00-6:45 PM Dinner in the Chesapeake Room. Buy AHB Youth Scholars Raffle tickets to replenish and build our scholarship fund. We prefer electronic means and credit cards, but we will accept cash.
6:45 Official Start. Welcome to the Brigade

5:00-5:45 PM Dinner in the Chesapeake Room. Buy AHB Youth Scholars Raffle tickets.
5:45-6:00 PM Get dressed in solid primary color polo (preferably in your voice part color) with black pants/shoes/belt for the guys. For the ladies, Black & White outfit with solid color scarf or pop of solid color works if a solid color polo is not an option. It gets hot at Rose Tree in August (outdoors and the sun will be beating down on you at 7:30pm) No Badges are worn. (Tenors in Yellow, Leads in Green, Bari’s in Blue, Basses in Red) Ladies, feel free to wear something that will "go with" with the uniform for the guys.
Pick something cool and comfortable. Use your best judgement.
If you need a source for a primary color Polo Shirt, some Amazon links are below. It does NOT have to be these polos exactly, but try and find a SOLID COLOR polo in a nice PRIMARY color. If you can’t get the color for your voice part…any PRIMARY COLOR will do.

Music Team Philosophy
- Anyone who has been found to be unprepared is NOT eligible to sing on the Saturday night show in any act. No exceptions.
- The Music team’s first responsibility is to the public at Rose Tree. We will only put acts on the Show deemed worthy of providing high entertainment value to a general public audience.
- Uptunes and novelty numbers are given a strong preference to ballads.
- Due to the time constraints for the Rose Tree Show, we will not be able to accommodate any quartet auditions for the show. Sorry.
