COVID POLICY

Note: Covid Protocols were in place for the August 2022 Rally. Given the ever-changing status of viruses, these are subject to change based on national, state, or local rules and regulations and AHB Board decisions.

COVID POLICY (Updated December 18, 2022)

For You-
  • Covalent Boosters are highly recommended but optional.
  • We may require proof that you are negative for Covid (using a rapid Antigen test) within 24 hours before the Rally begins Friday at 5 pm Eastern. Since most people drive to the AHB Rally, the intent here is to test right before you leave home for Wilmington. Use your phone (turn the time/date stamp or display date on) to take a photo of your Friday morning test as part of the Registration check-in process.
  • By 8:45 am Saturday and Sunday morning, we may require attendees (and any traveling companions involved) to take a rapid Antigen test while in Wilmington. You will physically show a photo of your negative results to an AHB-assigned designee before you can participate that day. You are required to bring at least 2 test kits with you, still in the original sealed packaging.
  • We will require completing a Covid liability waiver before you begin the Rally weekend.
  • As a courtesy to every attendee, we ask that you minimize your participation in higher potential Covid-risk activities the week before travel.
  • If during the Rally, you test positive or experience symptoms like fever, cough, or tiredness, you should notify Doug Brown at (908) 578-2457 (cell). Those who drive to the Brigade will be asked to leave the hotel. If you fly, AHB will provide a complimentary single-occupancy hotel room to separate you until Sunday morning, when you would normally fly home.
  • Should you experience symptoms like fever, cough, or tiredness within five days after the Rally, you agree to notify AHB leadership. Other participants will be notified of potential exposure with no identities revealed.
  • By your attendance, you acknowledge that attendees share the potential risks involved in a large, close-quarters gathering of people singing together without masks. (Plenty of anecdotal evidence is available). You also acknowledge that variants can still infect someone, even when fully vaccinated and boosted. Fortunately, most people infected only report mild to medium symptoms that last several days.

For All of Us -
  • Masks, while recommended, will be optional during the event, barring a mask mandate enforced by the state of Delaware or the city of Wilmington. Please pack masks as a backup precaution.
  • We encourage singing outdoors when possible and not staying too long in close quarters to allow the air to change.

Yours in Harmony,
Doug Brown
AHB President
