To that end the musical selection are chosen to afford its participants a wide range of musical experience, education and challenges. The selections are made to cover a variety of styles from, old fashioned traditional “barbershop” ballads, to swinging jazz “up tunes”, gospel and some downright pyrotechnical harmonic gymnastic pop music from the early 1900s to the 1970s!
Our repertoire of songs include some of the most enduring popular “American
Standards’ by, Gershwin, Berlin, Carmichael, Mercer, Arlen, Ellington.

Most of the arrangements were made popular by the Barbershop Society’s international champions and include some of the finest, internationally recognized arrangers, including: David Wright, Ed Waesche, Tom Gentry. Ron Hopkins, Roger Payne, and Walter Latzko. Other selection are chosen as exclusive arrangements for the AHB and others are chosen to honor and/or showcase the artistic talents and color of our regional Mid Atlantic District arrangers.
